I got to see one in person when I toured the Lane Motor Museum in Nashville. They have one of the, maybe 3 in the entire US.
They normally don’t have it on display, but we took the basement tour. I saw it peeking from behind a bunch of other neat stuff and completely freaked out. Our guide saw me and let me walk back to it to take some pics up close. I was highly tempted to just hop in, but we hadn’t toured the whole museum yet, so I didn’t want to get kicked out.
Our guide told us about how they aren’t allowed to drive it if its even thinking about looking like it will rain. And he had the chance to drive it down to Road Atlanta for some race weekend. The marshalls held him up on pit lane for a bit and he didn’t know why until they said they were letting him have a gap so he could go have fun alone for a lap. I secretly hate him.

I have to say, when a company produces a design that manages to make two-tone look good, and you choose the same color for both tones, you’re doing it wrong.
Related: having a black car such that all the black details are hidden in a sea of black. The windows, side blade and grills would look
heaps
better on the R8 above if the car were white.
